    01Select Google Ads as a channel

    That's the whole setup. When you choose Google Ads during campaign launch, GhostEngine provisions a dedicated Google Ads account for your business -- named after your organization, configured with your currency and timezone, with conversion tracking wired in from day one.

    02No Google account, no OAuth, no billing setup

    You don't need a Google account, a Google Ads login, or a credit card on file with Google. GhostEngine manages the account and pays Google directly. Your ad spend is funded through your GhostEngine wallet, so budgets, pacing, and spend protection are all governed in one place.

    03Conversion tracking is built in

    Your account is created with its own conversion tracking ID, and the GhostEngine pixel handles both browser-side tagging and server-side enhanced conversions. There's no Google Tag to install and no conversion actions to configure.

    • Each sub-account receives a unique conversion tracking ID (AW-...).
    • The GhostEngine pixel loads the Google Tag in the browser automatically.
    • Server-side conversions use Google's Enhanced Conversions with gclid or hashed identifiers.
    • Zero customer setup, zero duplicate tracking risk.

    04It's your business's account

    The account is dedicated to your business and runs only your campaigns. If you ever leave GhostEngine, we can transfer the account to your own management on request -- your campaign history, conversion data, and learnings go with you.

    Account transfer is handled on request through our support team. Google supports unlinking a client account from an MCC and granting the customer admin access while preserving full history.

    Common pitfalls to avoid

    Not funding your GhostEngine wallet before launch

    Google spend is drawn from your GhostEngine wallet. Make sure your wallet has sufficient funds reserved for the campaign before launch, or pacing will pause immediately.

    Thinking you need a Google account first

    You don't. Many new customers waste time trying to create a Google Ads account or billing profile. GhostEngine handles all of it.

    Expecting an OAuth flow like other platforms

    Meta, TikTok, and Reddit require you to connect an existing ad account via OAuth. Google does not. Just toggle the channel on during campaign setup.

    Adding your own tracking tags

    Do not install Google Tag or Google Analytics 4 separately on your site. GhostEngine's pixel already handles browser and server-side conversion tracking. Duplicate tags inflate conversion counts.

    Set up the right way from day one

    • Fund your GhostEngine wallet before campaign launch. Google spend draws from it in real time.
    • Set a clear campaign budget in GhostEngine. Wallet reserves are allocated automatically per channel.
    • Don't create a separate Google Ads account on your own. GhostEngine's sub-account model keeps billing, tracking, and optimization unified.
    • If you have an existing Google Ads account you want to use, contact support. The standard GhostEngine flow provisions a fresh sub-account.
    • Review campaign performance in GhostEngine dashboards. Raw Google Ads UI access is not needed and not provided by default.
